The Visionary Cabernet Sauvignon

Taylors The Visionary Cabernet Sauvignon honours winery founder Bill Taylor Senior and his vision to produce long lived Cabernets inspired by the wines of Bordeaux in France.

Made only in outstanding years, the wine draws from exceptional blocks of estate grown Cabernet. The selected fruit represents the finest Cabernet of the vintage.

Each parcel of fruit is gently destemmed, chilled and sent to small closed fermenters for cold soaking. During fermentation with a specific Cabernet yeast, the juice is mixed using inert gas. It remains on skins for malolactic fermentation.

The wine is then transferred to new and seasoned fine grained French oak. After 12 months the best parcels are identified and returned to barrel to age further prior to bottling.

Dark garnet, Taylors The Visionary Cabernet Sauvignon has classic varietal flavour of dark fruit and mint with long, fine tannins and smoky oak. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
